Whether you choose to see your direct primary care physician or prefer to go straight to a specialist, you have the freedom to do so. Taro is an "Open Access HMO" so our members don't need to worry about getting a referral to see the specialist of their choice. Simply choose the specialist you want to see from our network of providers, and you're all set!

We should note that it's worth checking with your direct primary care physician before seeing a specialist. Our network of direct primary care physicians are able to handle different types speciality care right from their office, unlike a traditional primary care doctor.
